The Social Welfare Team met this morning to discuss monthly business.
We have had a busy few months, and with help from you, have been able to contribute to a number of very needy organisations to help relieve their burden.
Today we also received a visit and presentation from the lovely Ibu Helena from Yayasan Pokok Kehidupan. This is a school that was founded in 2002. The school educates students from various backgrounds. Most of them are from underprivileged families, victims of divorce, child trafficking and bullying.
The school receives some government help in the way of school supplies, but rely heavily on independent donations to pay for teacher salaries, computer laptops and other necessities.
Ibu Helena’s talk was very insightful, and we hope to be able to support their organization in the future.
Also, as most of you know, Healthy Day is coming!
This year it will be held on the 8th of November. More details will follow.
However, every year we rely on your support & donations to help make this day the success it is every year.
We are looking for the following donations:
Clothing for women, children and particularly MEN. Hygiene products including soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, feminine hygiene products.
School supplies including pencils, books and pens etc.
Donations can be dropped off to Global Sehat (Sanur) or the homes of Sandy Hilton or Lee Carlos. Please contact Alit for further information if needed.
Thank you ladies as always for your ongoing support.
As we know, every little bit helps! ![]()
